Picture overload.

So my time blogging is few and far between.
My apologies.
I feel as if I"m playing catch up on blogs, so instead, I'm just gonna cram a bunch of pics in a blog post, and then after I get all those on my blog, I'll go back to regular specific posts:)

Here is one of my most favorite pictures ever.
My mom gave me the best gift ever while I was home-sleep.
When Lux would wake up at 6:45-7, mom was eager and excited to take her and enjoy her all to herself. she'd change her, play with her, feed her, and put her back down for a nap. And while she did that, I went back to bed and slept for a couple hours straight.
After three weeks of mom doing that, I got a little spoiled and once we returned home from SC, I missed those few extra hours of sleep mom let me have by taking care of Lux.

Lux met so many of our family friends whom I grew up with.
It was pretty cool introducing her to women who knew me when I was a wee little gal.

Lux met our cousins, Patrick and Timmy!
Ash loves her niece so much that she was willing to change a POOPY diaper.
Ryan coached her through it;)
Here she is so proud that she changed her all by herself.
This was our party favor assembly line.
We made cute little bags with lindt chocolate for the wedding reception.
I did alot of taste testing to see if the chocolate was good enough to give...especially the white chocolate. definitely had to taste that one a few more times.
Patrick got on baby duty while we worked on party favors.

Here Lux is meeting her one and only Uncle Ryan.
He's pretty special, cuz well, she has no other uncles on either sides.

Gamboa sisters love to snuggle.
We always seemed to find out way back to mom and dad's bedroom and all snuggled and talked while Lux napped.
and we napped too;)
Ryan and I got a chance to go on a date for our 4th wedding anniversary!!!
We left Lux with my family, who were EAGER to babysit-it was great going on a date just the two of us and leaving Lux and Alexio is such loving hands.

We went to Saltus and enjoyed some seafood at the waterfront park.

We brought the Butlers and Gamboas all together for dinner. Mom and Auntie Vangie cooked up a storm all day and we enjoyed the fruits of their labor with both families together.
It was a crazy fun loud time;)

Lux always found herself snuggled up by someone in the morning.
My parents or sisters would happily take her after she woke up cuz that's when she's just the cutest and happiest.
Setting up for the wedding reception.
both Ryans trying to prove a point that the backdrop for the photo booth was not tall enough.

The wedding reception was a BLAST.
We were so happy to celebrate Ryan and Ilene's wedding with family and friends and we had so much fun diong it.
Ale Grace and I were the guest book people...she had guest sign the pages and I'd snap their pics as they walked in.

Things got intense with couples musical chairs.
and the dancing was crazy fun.

This is my favorite pic of the night.
Lux and her Lolo cuddling in the morning while her Daddy and puppy wrestled and played together.

Lux and I found ourselves in the nursing room during church, where she catnapped for the whole service.
hanging with the cousins, aunt and uncle.

My Aunt made a ton of sushi and we just ate and ate and ate until we could eat no more.
It was amazing....

Lux had so much excitement everyday that she'd zone out pretty quickly each night.

We always have a sister date early in the morning for a donut and coffee run.

One of the best pics EVER. Lolo and Lux watching early morning Sunday news in bed.

Annnd, we'll continue with the pic overload in the next post.

2 months of "Light" in our lives.

I realize she is no longer two months old.
in fact, she's closer to three months now.

But we were on vacation in SC at the time and I didn't update my blog the entire trip.
and I didn't have my SLR camera, instead I had used my iphone to document her growth.
and the circumstances weren't so good when I took these pics-I accidently woke her up from a nap and she wasn't a happy camper for these pics that I took promptly after waking her...haha.

I finally just stuck the sticker to her head since she wasn't happy for the pictures anyways...it made me laugh, haha.

I'll do better for her 3 month shots and growth updates;)

the road trip to SC.

Roadtripping from Iowa to South Carolina with a 6 week old and a dog was an adventure.
But it actually went better than I had expected!
Apparently, this age is great for traveling, because all they want to do is sleep...and sleep she did. And so did I.:-D

about forty minutes after leaving our home early morning August 6th, I started wailing, "NOOOOOOO!!!! I forgot my camera!!!!!!!!"
I couldn't believe I left behind the memory capturer...what I was supposed to document Lux's every move and moment with my family.
Needless to say, I was bummed. But thankfully, with technology nowadays, I had my iphone that could still capture memories...just not as good quality as my SLR.
Oh well.
So, most of the pics that you see are from my phone.
and some may be ones I took from my sister.

Anyways, we went down to SC for my older sister's wedding reception.
you see, she got married to her hubs in December.
They eloped to Hawaii (yeah, I know! Maui! amazing, right?!) and now were going to celebrate with close family and friends.

The roadtrip was fun...for me and Lux and the dog at least...Ryan drove the ENTIRE way...he's amazing. I get sleepy in the first couple hours that I drive.

here's lux as we're leaving in the morning.
i took her straight out of bed and into the carseat, which is why she's in her sweet little pajamas, all snug and ready to go!
this is how i fed her through the whole trip...she'd only taken a bottle once or twice before, but turns out she's a pro at it;)
further along in the day, she showed me her cute little toes.
when she got fussy, i found this song on my iphone and played it close to her ear...and she'd stop crying instantly, and fall asleep!!! we tried other songs, but they didn't appeal to her the way this one does! we used it ALOT when we were traveling!
here she is her first morning after staying in a hotel...turns out, she likes it a lot! especially cuz she shared a bed with mommy!:)
hahahaha, this pic cracks me up...she kinda looks like a little elf or gnome thats upset that i caught her!! or that may just be me and my crazy imagination.
on the way to SC, we picked up Ilene, from her place in Atlanta.  she had fun getting a headstart from snuggling with Lux before the rest of the family.

oh, and we did a little shopping before leaving Atlanta! i got my wedding reception dress at Dress Up boutique!
ilene introduced us to her fave, Steak N Shake! and for someone who doesn't like fast food, i LOVED it!
here she is again snuggling with lux and feeding her at a gas station:)
and finally, two days of traveling later, we arrived in SC.
You should have seen the excitement...man, it was fun bringing our little girl to my home!

Lolo and Lola were so happy to have Lux back in their arms!

Oh, and we were there too;)

well, that was only the first two days of the three weeks trip.
i'll be back to record the rest of the trip!
