Beauty in color

Some of my favorites from the afternoon carnival at the trailer park in celebration of Dia del Nino.
She continues to be one of my favorite kids to take pics of.
Those eyes.
 Funny story...we found alexio's daddy.

 I tried this one.
They said I would throw like a girl and offered to hold it still.
I nailed it on the first try.
boom.
(then I told Ryan to do it...he missed:-D)

 my babes.
 sweetly innocent.
This kid has always made me smile.
He didn't want to leave the car track.

how gorgeous is this sweet little boy?

"Kristine, take a picture of me working!"
"I can't believe the clown knows how to paint SWANS."
"Take a picture of me! I'm gonna make a face!"
 Precious little girls.
Dunking for apples is an extreme sport.

 those dimples.
This little one kept giving me hugs...wish i knew her name!
 Alexio's daddy and huggy girl:).

have you ever seen a cuter mustache wearer?

broken arm. piƱata. nothing can stop him:).

ice cream assembly line in the rain.
my one pic!:)
Jay won by a jar full of tickets the best prize of all.
During the group pic, he was pleasantly attacked by it.
How beautiful is our world of color...

"Red, and yellow, black, and white.
They are precious in HIS sight."

and how wonderful is it, that we've got that beauty right in our little town?
So many cultures, races, and lives represented right here.

Momma's best bud

We had a happy mail day when this arrived.
Mommas, this could be your very best friend at home.
I have to admit, that I immediately placed it on the door knobs in Lux's room, and tried slamming the door, shutting the door with force, closing the door normally..
Each time was silent.
This thing is so simple, yet, genius.

Please excuse the baby not wearing pants.
But she's rocking the leg warmers and diaper look.
hope thats okay with you.

I was amazed by the simplicity of it, but how effective it was.
Lux and I took turns shutting the door, and then she took a whack at chewing on it.
It's too well made to be destroyed.

There are so many different colors and designs, it was kinda hard to choose which one I wanted for her room. There are some suuuuuper cute ones in the shop that I kinda want to grab for other doors in the house.

I'm seriously thrilled by it. If you're a mom with a baby, toddler, a few littles, or people who might slam doors or make noise, you've gotta invest in this.
I had such fun when she went to bed and I opened and closed her door with ease.
It's one of those must-haves that has made it in a bunch of family/parenting magazines-highly recommended.

Try them out.
Latchy Catchy.
At least check out the shop.
You'll probably want to get one if you do.
or three.
or one for each door in the house.
I love this so much, i just MIGHT have to give one away.

Like her daddy

This week, we went down to Kansas this week to visit Ryan's mom.
During that time, we encountered so many things that make Ryan the man he is today, and the darn good daddy he is to Lux.
We looked at pictures, talked about his childhood, played with his old toys.
One thing that his mom brought out for Lux this week was this horse.
30 years ago, Ryan received it on his first birthday...I couldn't pass up the chance to take pics of this kid with her daddy's horse.
She rocked it.
 no pun intended.

She climbed that horse all weekend, and lovingly gave it pats, kisses, and hugs, as I'm sure her daddy affectionally many years ago.
Going through his baby books and photo albums was really cool.
At first glance, she might not look like him, but boy, they have almost the same expressions in MANY of the pics that we looked at and look almost exactly alike (besides the differences in hair and skin color:-D).
I might have to post some and compare-it's pretty sweet.
